The Scott Family
Roger and Amanda Scott, along with their two young daughters have been raising turkeys for Cargill for seven years, producing over 175 thousand hens per year.
Both graduates of Virginia Tech, Roger manages the day-to-day on their commercial cow-calf and Simmental seedstock operation along with a custom-feeding business and litter and hay enterprises. Dr. Amanda is a veterinarian in a large-animal practice operating out of Madison, Virginia.
The family won the 2021 Virginia Farm Bureau Achievement award and also came in 3rd in the nation at the 2022 AFBF national convention in Atlanta, Georgia.
The pride in what they do and how they approach their life's occupation is inspiring. The Scotts are indeed great ambassadors for our industry.
HATS OFF TO THE SCOTTS!
Congratulations from your local ag team!
