Working For A Strong Poultry Industry

Virginia Poultry Federation is a nonprofit, statewide trade association founded in 1925. VPF represents all sectors of the poultry industry, from farmers, to processors, to businesses that provide goods and services to the poultry industry.

VPF’s mission is to promote a positive business climate for the poultry and egg industry in Virginia through effective government and public relations, youth programs, membership services, and educational activities.

A 15-member Board of Directors oversees VPF. The board consists of two broiler growers, two turkey growers, an egg producer, five processor representatives, an allied industry representative, and ex officio (non voting) members from Virginia Tech, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, VPF’s Processor Committee, and the Rockingham Poultry Servicemen’s Committee.

VPF’s staff includes a President. VPF has a number of standing committees, which address issues such as poultry health and environmental stewardship.
